Everything you care to know about DJ Ricky Augustine

My name is T. T Korbi Wayo Augustine popularly known as DJ Ricky Augustine, a Ghanaian from Old Ningo in the Greater Accra Region but born and bread at Juapong in the Volta Region.

I'm the fourth among six and the second male for my parents.

I started my career when I was very young, my dad use to buying me cassette after work.

Somewhere 2009 I fell love with Pop/RnB music, I then developed it into taping records (Mixtape) to master my craft and that really keptme going.

I later start assisting and supporting Spinning DJs by hosting their shows with the ambition of becoming one of Ghana’s very own and the world at large.

Then I was inspired to further my studies at Africa Radio & TV College in the 2011 as a DJ/Presenter (Journalism) in Accra, Nugua.

Even though the support wasn’t great and forth coming as expected, l consistently nurtured, show off my skills and strength as a growing DJ.

I eventually break through and became very popular at my birth town and it environment with a mixtape named '' Anointed Gospel Mix 1 & Azonto Fiesta Mix 1 '' that got the public attention and from then i started to mount my own stage that happens every 24th December namely (RickyHood Jam) at Juapong located just after (Adomi Bridge).

Since then mixtape become my greatest tool of breaking new grounds and building my funbase, until at point I had the opportunity to operate with some of the popular names in the industry, the likes of DJ Vyrusky (Starrfm), Sheldon The Turn up (Livefm) , DJ ABK (Okyame Kwame's Official DJ) at Club 45, formally Excel night club located around Nyaho Clinic Dzowulu (Accra) before moving back to Volta to change perceptions about Volta DJs,

Today Ho/Volta can enjoy ''Active Line Array Speakers & Good Event Stages'' made in Volta by Circuit Technology (Shout out DJ Kelvin) on our research, By the grace of God i got 2 media houses & 2 Sounds System very active and more popular in the region.

I keep maintaining and pushing as a Mixtape DJ, Radio DJ, Mobile DJ, Night Club DJ, Pub DJ, Scratch DJ, Artiste DJ & Remixe DJ and got nominated for 2015 / 2016 Ghana Dj Awards in the category of '' Best Pub DJ'' and won '' Best DJ Volta Region'' at the 2017 / 2018 edition.

I've moved to Accra early this year on the 22'nd of January 2019 and currently operating as the resident DJ for Coco Vanilla Cocktail Bar & Luxe Night Club, East Legon - AnC Mall Accra.
